| Spidey Shake-Up: Shailene Woodley’s Mary Jane Cut From ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ Posted: 19 Jun 2013 12:19 PM PDT  Mary Jane Watson won’t be getting any love from The Amazing Spider-Man franchise — for now. Director Marc Webb has confirmed that Shailene Woodley's portrayal of dear MJ has been officially cut from the reboot’s sequel, due next year. Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will reprise their roles as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy. "I made a creative decision to streamline the story and focus on Peter and Gwen and their relationship," Webb said in a statement. [via Deadline] "Shailene is an incredibly talented actress and while we only shot a few scenes with Mary Jane, we all love working with her." Woodley, 21, made headlines Wednesday morning when she revealed the changes to Entertainment Weekly in a cover story for her other project, Divergent. "Of course I'm bummed," she told the magazine. "But I am a firm believer in everything happening for a specific reason. MJ only appeared in a few scenes and I wouldn't trade the experience of working with Andrew and Emma for three days on set for the world. Based on the proposed plot, I completely understand the need for holding off on introducing MJ until the next film." Earlier this week, Sony announced that two more sequels have been planned for 2016 and 2018. |

The married couple is selling their $899,000 Beverly Hills penthouse, according to Trulia, which let’s face it, wouldn’t even take care of the down payment for their multi-million pad near Santa Barbara. But the less fancy condo has its very own quaint charm. The corner top floor unit has a gallery foyer entryway with wood floors and a fireplace in the living and dining rooms. The simple abode includes a laundry room and kitchen with dine-in seating, and a gym, pool, sauna and doorman available in the building. Still, the 2-bedroom, 2-bath seriously pales in comparison to the massive 13-acre seaside estate the Hollywood power pair bought last month, TMZ reported. The romantic Tuscan villa (coming in at a ginormous 10,522 square feet) has six bedrooms and nine fireplaces, a sparkling pool overlooking the ocean, tile floors, exposed-beam ceilings, modern kitchen with chef’s stove, and stunning outside space perfect for entertaining. | Watch: Rihanna Whacks Unruly Fan With Microphone During Concert Posted: 19 Jun 2013 09:51 AM PDT  Pro tip: Don’t try to grab Rihanna at her own concert. She will hit you in the face. A member of the RiRi Navy learned just that Tuesday night when they grabbed onto the songstress a little too tightly during a show in Birmingham, U.K. The 25-year-old, who was walking through the front row while belting out “We Found Love,” lashed out violently and whacked a fan’s face with her microphone after the concertgoer held onto her outstretched arm and refused to let go. The muffled sound of the mic connecting with the fan can be heard throughout the speaker system as faint cries of ”what the f**k” and “oh my God” are heard in the crowd. As for Rihanna, the singer walked away with her team of bodyguards without missing a note. However, this wasn’t the first time an overeager fan got into tiff a performer at their concert. In May, Beyonce gave an audience member a stern talking to after he smacked the “Bow Down” crooner’s bootylicious behind. |

Performing with Pitbull for their hit “Feel This Moment,” XTina rocked a sheer top, neon pink bra and a skin-tight black skirt, giving Miley Cyrus and her flat tummy a run for their money. Us Weekly is reporting that Aguilera has been working hard on her new body since early May, losing an estimated 20 pounds. "She did it all on her own," a source told Us of the singer's Fresh Diet meal delivery program. "She goes online and picks out her own food." Plus, it was refreshing to see Justin making the music he wanted to make, without (apparently) caring about whether or not radio would embrace his long, winding tunes. We’d love to see him continue with the sultry slow-burners. (Not that we’d complain if he gave us another “SexyBack”-type banger, of course.)
2) Another new album means more new material ripe for performing live. And, ya know, he’s touring with Jay-Z. Everything about this is mouthwateringly epic. We recommend you find yourself a ticket scalper ASAP…

| Posted: 19 Jun 2013 09:20 AM PDT  The funny thing about Miley Cyrus‘ “We Can’t Stop” is, while it’s a song about a party, one would not want to play it at a party. And so, the music video for “We Can’t Stop” shows Miley and a few of her friends engaging in all night shenanigans at a sparsely-attended party in a vaguely vintage home. Apparently the concept for the video was “weird props” and the art director certainly delivered. There’s teddy bear backpacks, taxidermy, a hot dog piñata, a surprising amount of sandwich bread and, of course, a skull made of french fries. There’s also a plethora of outfits designed to show you Miley isn’t a little girl anymore. I maintain, however, that anyone who wears a “dope” leotard deserves a swift slap in the face. |
| Dolce and Gabbana Are Going to Jail Posted: 19 Jun 2013 10:27 AM PDT  Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the men behind the Dolce&Gabbana brand, have been found guilty of tax evasion and sentenced to 20 months in jail. The Milan court just handed down the sentence Wednesday morning. Dolce and Gabbana failed to declare 1 billion ($1.3 billion in U.S. dollars) in income to authorities. Dolce and Gabbana have denied the charges. However, prosecutors argued that they used a Luxembourg-based company to hide substantial earnings, in order to avoid paying taxes in Italy. In addition to founding the fashion label which has become a celebrity favorite, Dolce and Gabbana also serve as the brand’s head designers. It’s unclear who will be in charge while the two are incarcerated. |

| Serena Williams Denies Calling Steubenville Rape Victim ‘Lucky’ Posted: 19 Jun 2013 08:02 AM PDT  Serena Williams was the target of a lot of rage online (including some from me) yesterday in response to a quote from her Rolling Stone profile in which she blames the 16-year-old victim in last year’s Steubenville rape case. In a not-so-shocking move, Williams has released a statement on her own website.
Williams isn’t apologizing for what she said, she’s flat out denying it. This is an interesting PR move, given that I highly doubt Rolling Stone would print Williams’ quote unless she was on tape saying it. So how will RS defend itself? The proverbial (tennis) ball is in their court.

| Kristen Wiig Does It Right in This Zig-Zag Dress Posted: 19 Jun 2013 07:14 AM PDT  Kristen Wiig put on quite a show on Tuesday when she arrived at the Champs Elysees Film Festival in this ’60s-esque zig-zag dress. The black-and-white ensemble was a nice touch for the famous funny lady, who was there to promote her new movie, “Girl Most Likely,” with Darren Criss. No word yet on who the designer was, but good on ya, whoever you are. (See more photos in the gallery, above.) Not a fan of fashion? | ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Recap: A Bird Speaks a Clue and Emily Sinks Posted: 19 Jun 2013 06:24 AM PDT  Tuesday's episode of ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars featured a bird, a new self-defense instructor, a rejection letter, pain medication and some dirty Manolo Blaniks. Seems completely random, I know, but somehow all of these things are related to our bigger mysteries of "A" and Alison's (Sasha Pieterse) murder? How exactly? That's not too clear yet, but as it is only the second episode of this addictive drama's fourth season, there is much yet to come and decipher. Let's get to it. Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven't seen Tuesday's episode, "Turn of the Shoe." Who would have thought that a bird, of all things, would be providing some of the answers on PLL? Certainly not me but on this show, anything is possible. So following a conversation with Mrs. DiLaurentis (Andrea Parker) about Ali's last summer alive – in which we see Ali's manipulation at work via flashback – Hanna (Ashley Benson) becomes the proud owner of a clue giving bird named Tibby. Seems this gray-feathered parrot of Ali's spent more time with her that summer than most people did and sounds just like her. Of course, by episode's end, "A" has released the bird but not before detective Spencer (Troian Bellisario) realizes the tune she's been singing all day is a phone number. Could this be a major clue to who killed Ali? And is "board shorts," Detective Wilden (Bryce Johnson)? And while Spencer is a great detective when it comes to all things "A" related, her intelligence doesn't seem to be enough for dream school/Hastings alma mater, UPenn as she receives a rejection letter from school. Upset and unwilling to share this information with her friends and family, she works with Ezra (Ian Harding) on her college essay. He thinks her honesty about what she's been through may put a damper on all of her academic achievements and suggests lightening up. Though my real question from this storyline — Why is Ezra alone with a student on a Saturday at school? I know it's just Spencer, but jeez Ezra, didn't you learn your lesson? Though it appears Aria (Lucy Hale) certainly hasn't. Taking up private self-defense lessons to protect herself from "A," she plants a kiss on her new and hot instructor Jake (Ryan Guzman) mid-lesson on her very FIRST lesson. She runs away embarrassed but he later shows up at her house to let her know that he is – of course – interested and they should get coffee. Also, was Aria seriously wearing wedge sneakers during this lesson or was I seeing things? Meanwhile, Spencer's other half, Toby (Keegan Allen) reveals to her that he gave up the RV of secrets to "A" in exchange for information about his mother's death. A sad scene, we learn that she supposedly committed suicide. Though "A's" information leads Toby to believe that this is not the case. The former "A" team member seems determined to find out the truth. Keeping with the current PLL trend of one set of Liar parents per episode, this week Ashley Marin (Laura Leighton) made her return from New York. The Marin matriarch is looking pretty suspicious during the episode, after we learn that a set of footprints at the scene of Wilden's murder belong to a pair of high heels and she happens to throw away a destroyed pair of Manolos. Uh-Oh Ms. Marin, do you have a confession to make? Lastly, Emily (Shay Mitchell) has a rough go at things on "Turn of the Shoe" after she seriously injures her shoulder saving Aria and Mona (Janel Parrish) from a car driven by "A." The injury forces the swimming star to self-medicate and in turn causes her to black out during her meet and hit her head. The accident looks touch and go for a second, but Emily is recovering at home by episode's end. With possible "A" team member, Shana (Aerial Miranda), gunning for the only open spot on Stanford's swim team alongside Paige (Lindsay Shaw), Em has some stiff competition. Buzz Moments OMG: Though nothing particularly gasp-worthy happened on "Turn of the Shoe," I was surprised that Emily recovered so quickly from her head injury. I thought for sure we'd see her in the hospital. Thank you, TV gods.: For Spencer's French fry/mozzarella stick map. Hilarious and amazing. Awk-ward: Awkwardness was all around on this episode but did anyone else cringe at Spence and Toby's weird hug after he was crying? It was so strange. Hotness: Helloooo Jake! Fab-u-lous: While I could have done without the bottom half of Hanna's leggings and jacket combo, I loved her coral moto jacket, which thanks to Possessionista I found out was from Free People. Can. Not. Wait.: For Caleb and Jason to get back! I miss them! Celebuzz (1-10): 7. This episode was par for the course after the stellar season premiere. Just enough information revealed to keep you coming back while adding more questions to this season's big mysteries. So PLL fans, what did you think about “Turn of the Shoe”? | Cher Performed on ‘The Voice’ Last Night Posted: 19 Jun 2013 06:35 AM PDT  On Tuesday’s finale of The Voice, legendary singer Cher descended from the Gay Gods to perform her brand-new single, the female-empowering anthem “Woman’s World.” The performance itself was a bit off, sure; the 67-year-old legend mostly walked through her choreography, and her hair looked like some type of leftover taxidermy that once lived inside the Olsen Twins’ home. (She also eerily reminded me of my mother at one point, but that’s for another post.) Anyway, hairgate aside, Cher still looked and sounded pretty good otherwise — certainly better than the rest of the performances, which one would expect with a lineup that includes Pitbull feat. Christina Aguilera. (Why are they letting her back?) Cher’s CD is out Sept. 24. Watch her performance from last night in the video, above. |
| Kelly Clarkson’s New Country Single Is the Anti-’Single Ladies’ Posted: 19 Jun 2013 06:14 AM PDT  Kelly Clarkson has gone country again thanks to the release of her new single, the admittedly catchy ‘Tie It Up.’ The song, which was likely inspired by her engagement to Brandon Blackstock, takes on the melody of ‘You Oughta Know’ (kind of, but much more positive) as it tells the story of a woman who really, really, really wants to set the date. (Think Charlotte York in season 6 of Sex and the City.) The song will officially be released on June 26. Which is weird, because Kelly just released “People Like Us” as a single only a couple weeks ago. But, hey! Happy listening, y’all! |

There are race jokes, hair jokes and a pretty funny glimpse of Kristen Wiig’s character (hint: she probably loves lamp, too), which should please both fans of the original and those hoping things would be a little different this time around (unlike, you know, The Hangover).
