Miley Cyrus – and her infamous dancing rump — has been forever immortalized in song as rap group Ying Yang Twins dedicates their latest track to the “We Can’t Stop” singer. Aptly named after the former Disney starlet, the song is all about “pretty b****es shaking ass on the pole” and twerking, which are all things Cyrus has proven she does well time and time again. In fact, the 20-year-old loves twerking — a dance that originated in the Southern hip-hop scene and involves the dancer rapidly shaking their butt — so much that she even made a home video of it in the past. Once referred as the “leaders of twerk,” the Ying Yang Twins are currently working on their upcoming mixtape, Ass in Session. Take a listen to “Miley Cyrus” in the video, above.

| One Direction Gets Personal In ’1D: This Is Us’ Trailer Posted: 25 Jun 2013 11:28 AM PDT  One Direction fans, rejoice. The official trailer for the new 1D documentary, 1d: This Is Us, has arrived. The upcoming film follows adorable boy banders Niall, Zayn, Liam, Harry and Louis as they conquer the pop universe and rise to international fame. Yes, the doc will feature interviews with fans and showcase performances and backstage tour access, but it looks like the movie gets very up-close-and-personal with the charming lads, too. As expected, Harry Styles is shirtless at least once. The trailer offers sweet glimpses into the boys’ childhoods (aww, they’re quite cute), their family lives, as well as their goofy off hours. 1D: This Is Us is directed by Morgan Spurlock of Supersize Me fame and is produced by Simon Cowell. Cowell says of the super successful group in the trailer, “The fans were the ones who made up their minds that this band was gonna be huge.” The preview also features a new fun track from the guys called “Best Song Ever.” Check out the trailer for 1D: This Is Us, above, to get a sneak peek at what it’s like to be one of the hottest groups on the planet. |
| Chris Brown Charged With Hit-And-Run, Heading To Court July 15 Posted: 25 Jun 2013 11:25 AM PDT  Chris Brown is in legal hot water again. The Los Angeles City Attorney confirms to Celebuzz that three criminal charges has been filed against the ”Don’t Wake Me Up” singer — hit-and-run, driving without a valid driver’s license and driving without insurance – in connection with a recent minor auto accident. The crimes are each punishable by a maximum of six months jail time. In May, Brown rear-ended a Mercedes and allegedly refused to exchange information before leaving the scene. According to TMZ, who first reported on the story, the City Attorney will also refer the matter to the L.A. County District Attorney for a possible probation violation in connection with his 2009 assault case against on-again, off-again girlfriend Rihanna. If the judge concludes that the hip-hop star had indeed violated his probation, he could be sentenced to four years in prison. Brown, 24, is due to appear in court in Van Nuys, Calif. on July 15. |

Rickles has been a household name since he began appearing frequently on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in 1965. He is best known for his insult comedy and, to some, being lampooned by Rickles is a sign you’ve really made it. More recently, Rickles is known as the voice of Mr. Potato Head in Toy Story. | ‘Adore’ Trailer: Mothers, Lock Up Your Sons Posted: 25 Jun 2013 10:27 AM PDT  #OMGAwkward. After causing quite a stir at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, Adore, formerly titled Two Mothers, has unveiled its trailer for its theatrical release — and it’s quite a doozy. Starring Naomi Watts and Robin Wright, the film centers two lifelong BFFs and middle-aged moms who enter into a sexual relationship with each other’s sons. (Cue the cringe.) Given that this movie is literally about motherf**kers, its teaser boasts plenty of sex intermingled with scenes of shirtless guys and — in this instance — romps on the beach. Adore is out in theaters and available via on-demand services on Sept. 6.

Spilled Tea: Five Reasons Why Lady Gaga’s ARTPOP Will Be The Album of 2013 For better tea flavor, play the track below as you scroll and enter the world of ARTPOP. 1) Everybody take a seat. Grab some popcorn and perhaps a The thing is, Lady Gaga — Godga, as the wise have taken to calling her — takes a lot of crap from people. She is called derivative, attention-seeking, phony, and most famously, reductive. But here’s the #TruthTea: Lady Gaga is, simply, both the hero Gotham deserves and the one it needs. In five years, she’s given us a pop star fit for our age. She has given us smash hits like “Poker Face” and “Born This Way.” She has given us insta-classic music videos like “Bad Romance” and “Telephone.” She has given us two of the most successful world tours of all time. She has given us the meat dress, the hair bow, and the disco stick. In return, she’s received five Grammy awards, 13 VMA statuettes, more certifications than we can count, and a legion of super-fans who would do anything for their Mother Monster. She is, simply, The One. Haters to the left.
2) Godga is gearing up to release her third full-length album. (We count The Fame Monster as an EP.) ARTPOP is due out later this year, and fans of pop music are waiting breathlessly. Her last album, Born This Way, topped the charts and sold more than one million copies its first week on shelves. But that’s the past, and we’re looking to the future. She has said that ARTPOP is better than everything that came before. She has said both that the album will feature EDM-leaning productions and a “fresh” pop-dance sound, but also that it won’t sound like anything else out there. She knows we’re ready to dance, but also that we want her to push the envelope a bit, musically. If anyone can do it, it’s Gaga. She will deliver us from the banality of the current Top 40 lineup.
3) ARTPOP won’t just be an album; it will be an experience. Gaga confirmed that an ARTPOP app will be released in conjunction with the new music. This means that we’ll be treated to… well, who knows what, exactly? Games, videos, extra tracks, creative insights, and all kinds of goodies. Inspired by Björk‘s Biophilia album and app suite — which, if you haven’t, you should check out — Gaga has said that she believes the marriage of music and technology is the future for artists and consumers. (Jay-Z seems to agree!) She also said she was considering splitting the album into two parts — one part being more straightforward, the other being more “experimental” — meaning more new music, more new videos, and more surprises overall. Slay us once, shame on you. Slay us twice, shame on no one.
4) We don’t know a ton of concrete details about ARTPOP, but the things we do know have us salivating. She’s enlisted the producing talents of Zedd, DJ White Shadow, Dallas Austin, and Madeon. She also teased a collaboration with a mysterious female producer. Potential song titles include “Tea,” “Sex Dreams,” “Ratchet (Feat. Azealia Banks),” “Red Flame (Feat. Azealia Banks),” “Burqa,” “G.U.Y. (Girl Under You),” “PARTYNAUSEOUS (Feat. Kendrick Lamar),” and, of course, “ARTPOP.” There also exist some rumors that Beyoncé may make an appearance on the record. (To further fuel this rumor, Gaga said that one of the ARTPOP videos will be a continuation of the “Paparazzi”/”Telephone” storyline.) Yes pls, to all of the above.
5) After several years of media saturation, two exhausting world tours, and three albums, Gaga went into media blackout mode after a hip injury forced her to cancel the remaining dates of her successful Born This Way Ball tour. Things have been very quiet on the Gaga front since February, which has been frustrating for fans. But here’s the silver lining: When she comes back, it will be like 2008 all over again. People will be all, “Oooooh yeahhhhh, Lady Gaga! I missed the f#&* out of her! Glad she’s back to snatch some wigs!” This is the calm before the storm, Little Monsters. If rumors are to be believed, she’s prepping for a major comeback centered around this year’s MTV Video Music Awards ceremony. I think we all remember the kind of cultural impact she can accomplish at the VMAs (1, 2, 3), so this seems like the perfect launching pad for ARTPOP, a new Gaga era, and, perhaps, the future of pop music and all things true and beautiful in this world.

| Russia Apparently Has the ‘Counselor’ Teaser-Trailer Posted: 25 Jun 2013 08:48 AM PDT  So in reading all this stuff about Edward Snowden’s alleged whereabouts this morning, I came upon this link from The Film Stage, which has the first teaser-trailer for Ridley Scott’s upcoming thriller The Counselor. Sadly, the trailer is entirely Russian, so any hope of hearing what the words from Cormac McCarthy’s first screenplay sound like is moot. Unless, of course, you speak Russian. But like so many Ridley Scott movies, the pictures are still worth a thousand слова (thank you, Google translator) — like the one of Cameron Diaz crawling on top of a car, or Javier Bardem with a crazy haircut or Michael Fassbender doing sexy Michael Fassbender things. Anyway, you can watch it here, and then you can see The Counselor in its full English glory when it opens here in the States on Nov. 15. |

| ‘Homeland’ Star Damian Lewis Is Bald Now Posted: 25 Jun 2013 07:40 AM PDT  Homeland star Damian Lewis has apparently pulled a Britney for his role in the upcoming movie The Silent Storm, seen here in this photo taken on Monday in Isle of Mull, Scotland. The Emmy-winning actor, who is known for his red hair, has just started filming the project, which centers on an unhappily married couple (Lewis, Andrea Riseborough) whose life takes a turn when they are forced to care for a rowdy teenager. Newbie Corinna Villari-McFarlane is directing. Lewis recently wrapped production on Homeland season 3, which will air on Showtime beginning Sept. 29. Season 2 will hopefully appear soon on iTunes for those who missed it because they can only afford to pay for HBO. (Ugh.) |
| The Music of Tupac Is Headed for Broadway Posted: 25 Jun 2013 07:15 AM PDT  From the Black Panthers to the Great White Way, the journey of Tupac Shakur is an odd one. Since his death in 1996, Shakur has remained one of the top-selling artists of all time. He’s been a hologram, and now his music is headed to Broadway. Set to hit the stage in the 2013-14 theater season, the musical Holler If Ya Hear Me features music by the deceased MC. Holler If Ya Hear Me is about two childhood friends from the inner-city of a fictional Midwestern city (probably based on Detroit or St. Louis) and their struggles to succeed despite difficult circumstances. Shakur’s mother, Afeni Shakur, is one of the show’s producers. The show’s cast has not yet been announced. “Tupac was a prophet and I want everyone to see that,” director Kenny Leon told Broadway.com. "[Holler If Ya Hear Me] is a present day musical using all of Tupac's music, but Tupac is not a character in the musical.” Leon has previously directed productions of Fences, A Raisin in the Sun and last year’s all-black remake of Steel Magnolias starring Queen Latifah, Alfre Woodard, Phylicia Rashad and Jill Scott. Holler If Ya Hear Me‘s book was written by Todd Kreidler and it will be choreographed by Tony winner Wayne Cilento (Wicked, Sweet Charity). You didn’t even know it until today, but all your life you’ve been waiting to hear “Changes” and “California Love” performed in a Broadway theater. |

Jodie Sweetin, known to millions of TV fans as Stephanie Tanner on Full House, has filed for legal separation from her third husband, Morty Coyle, 15 months into their marriage. According to E! News, Sweetin, 31, wants full custody of their 2 1/2-year-old daughter, Beatrix Carlin Sweetin-Coyle. If all goes to plan, she’ll allow Morty visitation rights on alternate weekends. Sweetin was previously married twice. She also has a 5-year-old daughter, Zoie, with ex-husband number two, Cody Herpin. |

Meanwhile in the summer lovin’ department, The Hunger Games‘ Josh Hutcherson made his public debut with new girlfriend Claudia Traisac this weekend. The couple, who met while filming their upcoming flick Paradise Lost, couldn’t keep their hands off each other while grabbing lunch at Mendocino Farms. The hit AMC series is approaching the second half of its final season this August and fans and critics alike are waiting with baited breath. Over the years, the show revolving around one cancer-ridden man’s attempt to provide for his family by cooking meth — and his subsequent power-struggle to become Albuquerque’s biggest drug lord — has garnered praise by just about everyone who’s ever loved TV. Both actors Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul has won Emmys for their roles of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman respectively, and the series itself shows no signs of stopping as it gears up for its dramatic finale. | Demi Lovato’s New Single Will Be ‘Made In The USA’ Posted: 24 Jun 2013 02:38 PM PDT  Get ready, Lovatics. Demi Lovato‘s next single will be the upbeat anthem, “Made in the USA.” This is the second single off of the 20-year-old singer’s fourth album, “Demi.” “Heart Attack” was the first. According to Billboard, “Made in the USA” will make its debut on Top 40 radio on June 27th. No word on when the song’s video will be released, but it was co-directed by Demi herself and, according to a press release, features “some special surprise actors.” Just in time for the 4th of July, Demi gives a shout-out to America in the fun love song, singing: “No matter how far we go/ I want the whole world to know/ I want you bad/ And I wont have it any other way/ No matter what people say/ I know that we’ll never break/ Cause our love was made/ Made in the USA.” (Get the full lyrics right here at Directlyrics.) This single’s release comes on the heels of sad news for the Lovato family. On Saturday, Demi’s family confirmed that her estranged biological father, Patrick, had passed away. | Justin Bieber Banned From Skydiving Facility For Life Posted: 24 Jun 2013 04:11 PM PDT  Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Justin Bieber has officially been blacklisted from an indoor skydiving facility in Las Vegas for leaving the place in disarray. Along with his entourage, the “Baby” singer arrived at the business just mere minutes before it closed over the weekend. Sources told E! News that when the company gave him the option shell out $1,600 for his crew or post a shout-out to the facility to his Instagram account, Bieber agreed to the latter but didn’t live up to his word after he had his fun. According to an insider, the 19-year-old “actually faked like he was posting something, per the agreement, but never did.” In addition to allegedly not giving the business their publicity, Bieber and his six-member team reportedly left a mess in the place. A source said the group was “a disrespectful bunch” and one security member allegedly made a mess around the sink and threw his paper towel on the ground while directly looking at an employee. The source also added that Bieber himself was “was very standoff-ish toward mostly everyone outside of his crew” and “very disconnected from reality.” This wasn’t the first time Selena Gomez‘s ex-beau was banned from an establishment. In May, Bieber was also banned from an Austrian club after his security guards allegedly smashed patrons’ cameras and cellphones to prevent them from taking photos of the pop superstar.
