Holly Madison Brings Daughter Rainbow Aurora to Her First Electric Daisy Carnival

Posted: 22 Jun 2013 11:53 AM PDT

Little Rainbow Aurora Rotella is shaping up to be one of the coolest babies in Hollywood.

On Friday, the adorable tot joined her famous mama Holly Madison and dad Pasquale Rotella for the annual Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas. Donning a super cute "Wide Awake Since 2013" shirt, the 3-month-old posed for a series of portraits with her parents backstage.

Earlier in the day, Rotella, who organized the festival, now in its 17th year, took to Instagram to share a cute backstage photo of his little girl.

"EDC ready! Don't worry she's not leaving her temporary built castle back stage of EDC," he wrote.

Madison, meanwhile, shared some behind-the-scenes photos of her Unicorn Poop baking session on her Celebuzz blog on Saturday.

"I make it every year for EDC because it's such a fun colorful cookie!" the 33-year-old wrote.

The three-night Electric Daisy Carnival will wrap on Sunday night.

Cheers to You, Meryl Streep

Posted: 22 Jun 2013 09:47 AM PDT

The year was 1980. A fresh-faced Meryl Streep only had five pictures under her belt, including The Deer Hunter, which earned the actress her first ever Academy Award nomination.

At the Oscars in April of that year, Streep would win her first Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Joanna Kramer in Kramer vs. Kramer.

She's since been nominated a whopping 16 more times, including her most recent nod for Best Actress for her role as the late Margaret Thatcher in 2011's The Iron Lady.

In honor of Streep's illustrious career, her 64th birthday and her amazing genes, here's her first Oscar acceptance speech (above).

William, Harry, Pippa And More At Thomas van Straubenzee’s Wedding

Posted: 22 Jun 2013 10:48 AM PDT

Looking good, princes.

On Saturday, Prince William and Prince Harry served as ushers at pal Thomas van Straubenzee's wedding to Lady Melissa Percy, the youngest daughter of the Duke of Northumberland.

The princes looked as dapper as ever for the lavish affair that began with a service at St. Mary's Church.

Pippa Middleton, who is good friends with George Percy, wore a peplum dress by Tabitha Webb.

According to The Daily Mail, the bride will marry in a Bruce Oldfield dress adorned with flowers. The early evening service will be followed by a reception at Alnwick Castle, followed by a dinner in a marquee.  The Duchess of Northumberland was keen to keep locals involved, so a picnic on a meadow not far from the castle has been set up for celebrations.  This evening, everyone will be treated to a fireworks display.

Chelsy Davy, Harry’s ex-girlfriend, was one of Lady Melissa’s bridesmaids.  Also in attendance was Cressida Bonas, Harry’s current squeeze (although reports claim that their relationship has “cooled”).

The Duchess of Cambridge, unfortunately, was unable to attend.  According to the Daily Mail, Catherine decided not to go to the wedding for fear that she’d go into labor.  HRH is due next month.

Earlier this month, Prince William and Prince Harry were spotted partying it up with van Straubenzee at his bachelor party in west London.

Channing Tatum White House Down premiere DC

Hollywood's second newest dad Channing Tatum looked as dapper as ever on Friday when he stepped out for the premiere of his latest film White House Down.

Whether it was his new dad glow or his usual good looks, the 33-year-old brought his red carpet A-game to the film's Washington D.C. premiere, joining co-star Jamie Foxx and director Roland Emmerich.

The red carpet appearance marked Tatum's first since welcoming his first child — a daughter named Everly — last month with wife Jenna Dewan.

The premiere was also the actor's first outing since Jimmy Kimmel‘s release of the music video for "(I Wanna) Channing All Over Your Tatum."

White House Down opens in theaters June 28.

Paula Deen and 15 Other Celebrity Apologies

Posted: 22 Jun 2013 06:39 AM PDT

In the wake of her racial slur controversy, Paula Deen issued not one but two apology videos on Friday.

"I want to apologize to everybody for the wrong that I've done . . . I want to learn and grow from this," the 66-year-old said, referring to her admitted history of using the N-word and a deposition hearing last month.

"I was invited this morning to speak with Matt Lauer about a subject hat has been very hurtful for a lot of people," Deen later said in a second video published to her YouTube account, hours after canceling an appearance on The Today Show.

"And Matt, I have to say, I was physically not able this morning. The pain has been tremendous that I have caused to myself and to others. So, I'm taking this opportunity, now that I've pulled myself together and am able to speak, to offer an apology to those I have hurt."

Deen of course is not the first star to apologize under the spotlight.

There's Christian Bale's explanation for his profanity-filled rant on the Terminator: Salvation set, Hugh Grant's apology for a 1995 arrest for lewd conduct with a prostitute in L.A., and fresh from this past May, Reese Witherspoon's apology following her arrest in Atlanta.

Good thing Celebuzz has rounded up more than a dozen celebrity apologies, from the shocking to the predictable. Launch the gallery, above, for some of the most famous “I’m Sorry” cases.

Katy Perry Got Dumped Via Text and More of This Week’s Top Celebrity Quotes

Posted: 21 Jun 2013 07:38 AM PDT

Remember that episode of Sex and the City in which Carrie got dumped by a post-it and had a fit about it? Well, that’s kind of how I imagine Katy Perry’s divorce from Russell Brand played out after reading what she said about it in Vogue.

Here’s a snippet:

He's a very smart man, and I was in love with him when I married him. Let's just say I haven't heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me December 31, 2011.

That was just one of the top quotes from this week, which also included chatter about boob jobs, smoking pot and feuds that could end very badly. Fun!

Check out the 10 of the best in the gallery, above.

It's time for another round of star sightings as we head into the glorious weekend (and summer season).

Cameron Diaz was all smiles on the set of her new film The Other Woman in New York City. The 40-year-old actress, who flaunted her long legs in a white dress, was joined by her co-star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (not pictured) for the day shoot.

Nicki Minaj Gets Nostalgic About That One Time She Went Topless

Posted: 22 Jun 2013 12:30 AM PDT

Thanks for reminding the world that you have boobs, Nicki Minaj.

The former American Idol judge must have thought people have forgotten as she “threwback” to an old photo of her topless this Thursday.

The racy snapshot, which was posted on Instagram, shows the 30-year-old wearing the ‘ol hand bra in what looks to be a changing room or the aftermath of a taffeta explosion.

“#throwback lmao,” read the caption alongside the photo.

Though we applaud her for participating in one of social media’s finest weekly traditions, Minaj probably should’ve saved the racier stuff for Flashback Friday. (Sorry, we couldn’t help it.)

‘We Can’t Stop’ Video Director Talks Miley Cyrus’ Party Girl Rep And Twerking Bears

Posted: 22 Jun 2013 09:12 AM PDT

miley cyrus we can't stop

You know what, one of those portable speaker things would be awesome to have at the pool. I really need some Eos lip balm. And you know what would be fun? Let’s make a skull out of the leftover French fries in my car.

Miley Cyrus has taken over my brain, y’all.

The singer delivered her newest music video nearly two days ago, and I’m only a slightly embarrassed to admit that I’ve listened to the song at least once every time I’ve gotten into my car since.

Not only does the song refuse to let go of its hold on your brain, but its corresponding video has forced images of rebellion and product placement onto the psyche of anyone who’s watched it from start to finish.

Thankfully, Celebuzz had the opportunity to speak exclusively with Diane Martel, the director of said music video (who’s worked with the likes of Justin TimberlakeCiara and Robin Thicke) — and she was kind enough to shed some light on what in the hell everyone was thinking when they included twerking dancing bears and amputated limbs.

CB!: How did the Miley Cyrus-Diane Martel collaboration come to fruition?

DM: Miley and I met through a mutual friend and collaborator, Pharrell Williams. He thought we would get along. We spoke about friend love and the joy of sleepless nights spent in revelry with a tight crew of friends.

CB!: What’s the message you wanted the video to convey?

DM: I think the indirect message is to be free. I enjoy the idea that an American pop icon can have surreal imagery in her video. Miley has a very open mind and, like the lovely kids born with the internet as their companion, she's got a wealth of references to play with. We spoke at first about intimacy between friends, but I think the video is more about her intimacy with her audience. She's very playful and silly in the video. She's not self serious and boorish like so many singers.

CB!: Is there an underlying message Miley wanted to come through?

DM: She's into living freely and being expressive. Its a great time for her and she's enjoying her life. She is not a kid who is obsessed with her career in a way that precludes having normal friendships and normal fun.

CB!: Some have wondered if the video is a parody of Miley’s reported reputation as a party girl. What do you think?

DM: She's no more of a party girl than any other American kid. If you can’t party when you are her age, when can you party?

CB!: Does that mean we’re saying goodbye to the Disney girl her fans have grown up with?

DM: Don't we all grow up?

CB!: When it came to the interesting and artsy pops of video surprises — for example, the French fry skull, piñata, bed of bread, giant dancing bears, Miley’s doll-kissing moment, and tons of twerking — was all of that Miley’s idea?

DM: They are giant blunts [in the pinata].

Miley found a photo online of the French fry skull and sent it to me. It was a beautiful French fry skull. We were inspired by it and recreated it our own way. After we filmed we found out that it was created by a fine artist named Christopher Chiappa.

The taxidermy was something Miley mentioned early on, and my fabulous art director, Georgia Walker, found in a smarmy prop shop. The lyric with the multiple taxidermy deer image is very touching. It almost makes us cry when we see that shot. The doll is a weird reference to a Helmet Newton photo. I worked on the idea with a friend, Aramis Isreal, who is a creative director and has worked on a lot of successful ads. We gathered a lot of blogged images and worked them into the shot list.

The bread was my idea, bread/cash, etc. And I have a background in performance art, so a lot of the stuff came from the corners of my mind.

The cut off fingers came about when we were on location scouting in the kitchen and I said, ‘oh someone has to cut off their fingers.’ I grew up on Devo and John Waters, so that might inform some of this stuff.

CB!: How involved was Miley in the conceptual planning?

DM: She let me go, she's amazing to work for.

CB!: Tell us your favorite part of the shoot.

DM: I loved the whole shoot, I cant wait to work with her again. She is the sh*t.

CB!: To wrap it up, you must have a funniest (and fun) memory of shooting with Miley. What is it?

DM: I asked her to sing “Jolene” for me and she did when she was in the pool. She was so beautiful singing that song, so free and sweet. And her voice is quite beautiful, that was really touching.

The whole thing was funny. The teddy bear twerker scene was pretty f*cking funny. She kept dancing really crazy style and turning toward the camera doing really funny ‘modeling.’ We were dying calling it her modeling. She's a very, very funny smart girl. Look out world.

David Beckham Plays Peek-A-Boo In China Because He’s Got A Heart Of Studly Gold

Posted: 21 Jun 2013 04:42 PM PDT

David Beckham China Visit

One of my absolute favorite things in life is seeing an attractive dad being adorable with his kids. Whether it be at the grocery store or on the beach, there’s nothing better than seeing a manly-man break down and embrace his inner adorableness.

David Beckham is the top of the list when it comes to guys with hard exteriors who also happen to be huge softies.

While visiting China, the soccer stud made a pit stop at a children’s hospital in Hangzhou and played a few games of peek-a-boo with the kids. Yeah sure, he also took pictures and signed some stuff, but try and tell me his rendition of the classic children’s game does anything other than melt your heart.

Harper, you’re one lucky young lady.

What. A. Week. I know I say that every week, but seriously. BABY KIMYE! BABY KIMYE IS HERE! And we can stop calling her Baby Kimye, because her name is North West. Things change so fast. Time is like a dream…

What else, what else? We celebrated Miley Cyrus Fan Week! That was fun! And perfect timing, considering she released the “We Can’t Stop” video this week. Also big news. Wow. I’m tired just thinking about it. Friday naps, anyone?

Alright, before we all doze off, let’s get to the point. We are gathered here today… no, that’s not right… four score and seven Paula Deen apologies ago… hmmm, nope. OK! CommentBuzz! To thank you for your thoughtful contributions, readers, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite comments about this week’s top stories. You will find them below.

“Awwww Congratulations Kimmie & Kanye don’t let them hater get to u Kimmie about how u dress.your weight.your life period people are going to always pass their no matter what u do so just look pass them you have a beautiful family so what u wasn’t married when u had kimmie AND???? “HAPPY BIRTH-DAY BABY KIMYE !! WELCOME TO THE WORLD!!! YOU ARE ONE LUCKY GAL!!! CAN’T WAIT TO SEE PICTURES OF YOU!! CONGRATS TO KAYNE, KIM AND BOTH THEIR FAMILIES !!! – Shannin

“Kim so happy tear in my eye and Kayne made it dont ever listen to the press , you looked amazing and hoping you ingnore the haters and enjoy what you always wanted unconditional love and beautiful baby. Can’t wait to see her with a gorgeous Mom like you she will be just amazing. I have always adore your love of family and tru friends. People hate woman who are beautiful on inside and out like you Miss Kardashian Kris and the family and Kayne must be thrilled. love you….” – Gia

Miley Cyrus“We Can’t Stop” video elicited some strong reactions:

“the video was dope. the song is lame. her style is sick though. dare I say better than rih :-O” – Elle

“The song is chill….but she is trying so hard to act like she doesn’t give a damn. Nowadays teens come packed with the don’t give a fuck gene, but she is trying too hard it doesn’t seem natural.” – Brenda

“How many brands where there? And don’t say those french fries are from Mc Donald’s or I will shoot myself! Damn!” – Ibrahim

“umm does miley think she has the butt to try and twerk or shake it lol umm you cant shake bones..just saying..some parts she looks like a lil girl with a wedgie lol” – Mellisa

And remember that time Dolce and Gabbana got sentenced to six months in prison?

“I hear D&G’s spring 2014 line will feature jumpsuits and vertical stripes.” – Robert

“Too funny for words. Apparently The Lohan Law doesn’t apply to them – choose your prison, therapy and punishment. I say make them wear thrift store clothes for 2 years. That’s learn em!” – Denise

Serena Williams made some controversial remarks about the Steubenville rape case, and one user thoughtfully weighed in:

“So now its the girl’s fault her parents aren’t competent of looking after what their kid does with alcohol? And correct me if i’m wrong, but i believe the society did this to kids. It’s not our fault we live in a world where it’s expected to get drunk at parties and such. And on top of that, how was a sober girl supposed to defend herself from two strong guys? Please. And if a guy feels its normal to do what they did to her, then he needs some serious help. It’s not just “doing something stupid”. Sometimes i feel disgusted by being human. Look at all the “stupid things” they (we) do.” – lobosarae

And we leave you with this #classic remark made about Courtney Stodden‘s boob job:

“what she NEEDS is a brain job… -.- ‘” – lobosarae

That’s all we have time for this week, Celebuzzers. Thanks for contributing! Remember, if you want to be featured in next week’s CommentBuzz, simply leave comments on your favorite articles.

Paula Deen’s Ex-Husband Comes To Her Defense

Posted: 21 Jun 2013 05:35 PM PDT

Paula Deen's ex stands by her side

We’re pretty sure Paula Deen would rather forget the last few days ever happened; She’s quickly fallen off her pedestal after shockingly admitting to using the N-word and subsequently has been fired from The Food Network.

In the wake of the racism controversy (and the release of a video begging the American public for forgiveness) Deen’s ex is standing by her side. James Deen Sr. insists his ex-wife is not a racist.

“She has never been nor never will be a racist. That couldn't be farther from the truth. I was married to the lady for 27 years, I know her pretty well,” James told Celebuzz.

“Look at her and Oprah, they are the best of friends,” he added.

“The thing about it is people don't know the real Paula from what they see on TV. She's a very personable person, she loves people, she loves everybody and she's very loving.

“We live and talk and work with the same people every day and some of our best friends are black. She would not do anything to hurt anyone,” said James.

He adds that her regret, as shown in a personal statement today (June 21) she released on YouTube, is genuine.

“If you gathered everybody in America, you could not find five people that can't say they wished they could take something back.”

And he tries to explain her use of the slur in the past.

"When she was younger she was robbed. She worked in a bank as a teller. A man came in and stuck a gun to her face, called her an ugly word and it scared her to death and he just happened to be black,” he said. “She may have come home that night and used the word to describe the robber. But just to go out and talk about people like that, never.

“Some of the best people we know are black.

“She deserves forgiveness. She's loving and sincere and if she's asked for it she means it.”

All this comes in the aftermath of recorded deposition in which the 66-year-old TV star admits to telling racist jokes, using the N-word, and planning a slavery-themed wedding. Paula’s former restaurant manager, Lisa Jackson, filed a $1.2 million lawsuit against the butter-loving cook and her brother Bubba Hiers alleging the silver-haired chef used the N-word at work and that Hiers sexually harassed her.

James believes the former employee has ulterior motives.

“The lady claiming this happens to be white,” he said. “I don’t know why she would bring that up unless she’s trying to make more money off Paula.”

Selena Gomez And Taylor Swift Toast To Summer With Ice Cream And It’s Kinda Cute

Posted: 21 Jun 2013 03:57 PM PDT

Gal pals Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift want you to know it’s officially summer.

In a recently posted video to Swift’s new Vine account, the young stars sweetly toast to the start of the season. But don’t worry folks, they’re not knocking back the hard stuff (Selena is only 20, you guys). These hardcore ladies engaged in a PG cheers with good old fashioned ice cream cones! It’s pretty adorable, actually.

In the brief clip, Seleners dons heart-shaped glasses, while Tay is wearing a collared shirt with precious little kitty cats all over it.

Has Taylor crossed over into cat lady territory? She seems to be a pretty big fan of the furry critters.

Swifty posted her first Vine video on Wednesday evening and it revealed the singer’s super scandalous after hours activities — watching Titanic with her kitten Meredith. I don’t know about you, but she’s feeling… 82?

We can’t wait for more 6 second glimpses into the fascinating life of Taylor “Danger” Swift.

North West — Not The Compass Point — Is The Name Of Kimye’s New Baby

Posted: 21 Jun 2013 04:19 PM PDT

It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have decided to name their first born North West.

Yes, many jokes could be had — North By Northwest, the next Kimye baby being named “Wild Wild” — but it’s actually a pretty clever name when you think about it. (Like, the kid already has an airline! Get it?)

Find out what’s with Kimye now by watching Keeping Up With Kim’s Baby Bump, above.
